Chairman Mr. Awasthi, Law Commission of India, New Delhi. I am writing to express my strong opposition to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the recent efforts by the Law Commission to impose it on the public. We believe that UCC would undermine the cherished values of diversity as we express it in our values, traditions, customs, culture, language, and religion. The idea of UCC in the directive principles stands in direct conflict with the fundamental rights challenging constitutional values, stability, and integrity of India. The Law Commission should prepare a draft and recommend to abolish UCC from the directive principles. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that my concerns will be taken into account, and I remain hopeful that our society will continue to embrace its diversity and protect the rights of its citizens. Sincerely, Your Name
